I have a very sweet tooth and I probably eat chocolate every day. I truly hope that studies showing the benefits of eating chocolate are reliable. I’ve seen these chocolate-covered dates online in all kinds of variations. These are very quick to make and if you put them in the freezer they’ll be ready in less than an hour.

The dates are soft and taste like caramel in combination with the nut butter. You only need dates, nut butter, and chocolate to make these small bites of heaven that will satisfy even the sweetest tooth. From here you can experiment with whatever topping you fancy.
Makes: As many as you want
Nut butter (use your preferred kind, for instance my vanilla nut butter)
Dark chocolate (I prefer a version with at least 70 % cacao)
Optional toppings (sea salt flakes, desiccated coconut, freeze-dried raspberries…)
Melt the chocolate in a small saucepan over medium heat
Remove the stone from the dates
Fill the date with nut butter
Cover the dates in chocolate by placing the date in the melted chocolate and cover them in chocolate with a spoon.
Place the dates on a plate covered with baking paper and place them in the freezer until the chocolate has hardened
Enjoy as a dessert or an afternoon snack!
