BIG SUR AND CARMEL BY-THE-SEA

... another hiking adventure

Three weeks ago Jasmin and I went on another hiking adventure (the first one being Lassen Volcanic National Park). This time we drove south from San Francisco to Carmel by the sea. This is the most incredible town I’ve visited in California so far. It might have to do with the fact that it almost feels like being back in Spain. The town is small and cozy which is perfect for me. It is located by the ocean 30 minutes from Big Sur. The town is filled with small independent shops, an endless number of amazing restaurants and wineries, and it has a gallery on almost every corner.

The view along Highway 1

We spent a whole day exploring Big Sur which is part of California’s central coast and a place you’ll pass if you drive the famous Highway 1. I can’t even begin to describe how beautiful it is so this time I stopped to take photos.

I could've stayed here all day

Nothing better than the view when reaching the top of a mountain hike
